Brooklyn Khoury, a 23-year-old model, reveals a new look after undergoing 20-hour surgeries over two years, costing over $400,000.

In photos she posted on her Instagram and YouTube, she explains that her confidence has increased since the attack. “I have learned to love everything around me and not to take anything for granted,” she said.

Finally able to smile again, she visited Sephora where an employee applied lipstick to her upper lip, which many users say looks very natural. This raised questions about the possibility of a lip tattoo.

During an incident in 2020 while visiting family in Arizona, she was badly attacked by a pitbull. “The animal was shaking my head like a toy and ultimately removed my upper lip,” she recounted.

During her first 20-hour surgery, doctors removed skin and an artery from her arm and attached it to her mouth to create a new lip—a procedure known as a skin graft.

She discussed her long road to recovery, with at least four more procedures remaining. “Everything went well—the nerve, the tissue—it’s all well, alive, and healing, which is really good and rare.”
