Tristan Weigelt is a 25-year-old American currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has covered 95% of his body with tattoos, costing him £40,000 and enduring 260 hours under the needle.
He shared incredible photos of himself before and after being tattooed. “It’s kind of weird looking at myself without all these tattoos,” he said. “But funnily, I feel exactly the same inside.”
He has attracted a huge following on Instagram, becoming an online sensation. “A lot of people stare and get fascinated. My friends now say that it almost feels like walking with a celebrity,” Tristan Weigelt added.
He started getting tattooed when he was 20 years old, and now, five years later, he has tattooed 95% of his body, except for his palms, private parts, and the bottoms of his feet and ears.
He also explained that the most painful part of his body to tattoo felt like being scraped by metal. “My face and the back of my head were without a doubt the most painful experiences, both during and after,” Tristan narrated. “It’s like being scraped by a metal brush.”
He added that the tattoos had no specific meaning, but he drew inspiration mostly from Japanese tradition. For those who want tattoos, Tristan advises, “Get what you love and what makes sense to you. I see many people worried about a certain tattoo not fitting them or being their style—if you like it, get it.”
Despite the drastic change, there is a downside. “It scares women away. But apart from that, there hasn’t been any backlash. Most people are really positive.”
