Multnomah Falls is a breathtaking cascading waterfall located in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon, United States. As one of the state’s most popular tourist destinations, it is renowned for its stunning natural beauty.

The falls are composed of two main drops: the upper falls, which are 120 feet high, and the lower falls, which are 242 feet high. Surrounded by lush forests, the falls offer incredible views of the Columbia River. Visitors can hike to the base of the falls or take a short trail to a viewing platform that provides panoramic vistas.

According to environmental scientist Dr. Emily Turner, “Multnomah Falls is a prime example of the Pacific Northwest’s unique ecosystem, where the combination of volcanic geology and abundant rainfall creates some of the most striking waterfalls in the world.”
